T-Mobile G1 now shipping with 3.5mm headphone jack

One of the biggest complaints about the T-Mobile G1 is the lack of a 3.5mm headphone jack, but that could possibly be a thing of the past. It’s been said that the G1′s are shipping now with an inline adapter which is pretty much an extension to the headphone cord itself. It makes the headphone cord a little longer and has a natural, unnoticeable look. One of the best things about this adapter is that it included a microphone button so T-Mobile G1 users can use their favorite headphones as a headset also.
I think people who bought the G1 on release or before they started doing this should be receiving one of these in the mail but that seems quite farfetched. At least recent T-Mobile G1 users can enjoy listening to music that they downloaded from Amazon MP3 or watching their favorite videos on youtube with their favorite headphones. But enough about that, the real question is when are they going to release a video recorder application for the T-Mobile G1?

Hey… one app I’d LOVE to see added to the list (and one I’d probably pay for) would be a File Management program. I know, there’s similar ones out there, but the main thing I want is the following. A HIDDEN/Password Protected file folder, in which I can save texts, pictures, and other misc info. Maybe make it a generic icon that you click, and it prompts that changes to the following file could affect phone function.. then if u click OK, it prompts for password. Would be VERY helpful for those who have kids who play with their fones, or have snoopy friends/ fam. Just a thought. Thanks
