Giveaway. Yes, you heard me. Giveaway.

It’s that time of the year, and we at T-Mobile G1 Apps decided to give back to our devoted readers and viewers who’ve been there persistently day in and day out. Therefore, we”ve arrived at the conclusion that the only way to satisfy you’re ever growing appetites, was not through our emotional love and mutual connection with you guys, but through petty material possessions that may or may not come in handy for the T-Mobile G1. Thus, the giveaway:

The journey to attaining this worthy prize is as follows (Its pretty simple really):

-Leave a comment with an APPLICATION that you would love to see created and you’ll be automatically entered into the competition. The best, and most creative idea will win one of the two T-Mobile G1 USB to 3.5mm headset adapters!

-The one we think deserves it best, will be announced on Friday, and be shipped to you free of charge! So check back then!

NOTE: -Keep in mind we only have two of these in stock.
- Don’t copy paste what someone already posted. Don’t comment twice.

On behalf of T-Mobile G1 Applications. We wish you a Happy Thanksgiving!

A simple to use, ‘touch’ type onscreen keypad would be great.

Comment by David Capoferri on November 26, 2008 @ 3:58 pm

Please please please. An application that uses the microphone as a tuning device would be amazing for any musician with a G1

I would like to see a powerpoint viewer and a more versatile media player capable of playing most popular formats.

Comment by KatieK on November 26, 2008 @ 9:43 pm

I think an app that allows the user to create a cutomized theme for their G1, much like the themes for Blackberrys, would be amazing! (Like where you can choose a specific screen and customize it)

Comment by will o on November 26, 2008 @ 11:14 pm

How about the ability to view pdf files (preferably in browser)

Comment by C on November 26, 2008 @ 11:22 pm

Alphabetize bookmarks. Option to vibrate for text/calendar on silent mode. Save pictures from text message sent to me. Stereo bluetooth. Show date on home page. Video recorder. iSilo.

Comment by Frank on November 27, 2008 @ 1:59 am

Highlight and copy/paste ANYTHING (Not just texts and notes).. True multitouch (for any app).. A skin app (for core apps).. The notification bar is awesome, but when the phones off i’d like it to tell me what the incoming texts/calendar alerts/emails are without having to unlock it. Of course I would love to see a video recorder app (with good sound and frame rate).

Comment by Frank on November 27, 2008 @ 2:06 am

Oh and pisaca on android would be nice too. I’d imagine it to be a app that fits right into the phone that allows you to view/upload your pics with your pisaca account. It fits right it with the hole “Cloud” syncing process.

Comment by Chris Davilla on November 27, 2008 @ 2:41 pm

I think an App for the G1 that would be perfect is one that would let you find any song by holding up the mic to any speaker. and finding it.
or an app that would let you play any games from any system from ps1 to xbox

Comment by chauncey on November 27, 2008 @ 6:56 pm

a shakeable wallpaper randomizer would be a cool app

Comment by Diane L on November 27, 2008 @ 10:25 pm

A great app would be an app that lets you make whatever app you want.
That would be the best.

Comment by will o on November 28, 2008 @ 12:10 am

mini dj turntable app to play with the songs on the phone.

Comment by Mark on November 28, 2008 @ 1:36 am

I’d love to see an app that will allow you to use the touchscreen on those swf games like Drunk Walk:

Comment by Christopher Fulmer on November 28, 2008 @ 2:17 am

Having a true keyboard, the G1 needs and MS Office compatible word processor and spreadsheet program. This would complete the G1 as far as I am concerned.

Comment by Jean Mejia on November 28, 2008 @ 4:28 am

A video Recorder and Microsoft Word like the fuse has.

Comment by Haydn on November 28, 2008 @ 2:14 pm

There needs to be an application to track your spouse’s g1 phone from your g1 phone! :)

Comment by Matt Soreco on November 28, 2008 @ 2:16 pm

I’d like to see an app that works like gotomypc. So you can access your pc from the g1.

Comment by Greg Hester on November 28, 2008 @ 2:58 pm

I wish that the G1 had word apps like the shadow i had before the G1. I take a lot of notes at work and the G1 does not even have a notes application

Comment by Reagan on December 1, 2008 @ 12:39 pm

I would like to see a lottery number results application created. It would work like the football application where you could select the lottery games you would like to keep track of. Then you could just open it and veiw winning results as they occur.

Comment by Dennis on December 4, 2008 @ 10:33 pm

I’d like very much to see an app that would allow for the music player to listened to through my bluetooth headset, maybe allowing for a seemless interaction such that when a call come in the music stops and then resumes when the call is done. All to be voiced controlled of course through the bluetooth headset. This would make te phone very useful for us motorcycle riders.

Comment by Dennis on December 4, 2008 @ 10:39 pm

A dictation app would be great such that dictated notes could be accessed easily, maybe with text to speech also using a blue tooth if needed. This would really be a boon to clinicians, also something that will remind me where I parked the car, I don’t know if the GPS is that sensitive though

Comment by Jemuel on December 15, 2008 @ 1:04 pm

Thanks Dennis for the ideas. Unfortunatley the giveaway has already ended. Please be on the lookout for the next one.

Comment by Lawrence Greb on October 24, 2009 @ 8:16 am

a video viewer that can handle WMV files (windows media),
there are so many clips out there from everyone and most of them are .wmv .avi and more….G-1 can’t play any of them…..

Comment by raheem perkins on November 7, 2009 @ 4:08 pm

A 3d model and animation program like blender pocket would be awesome imagine creating characters and animating them right on your g1 too cool

Comment by Wayne Smith on November 17, 2009 @ 9:43 am

A simple word processor app that would allow taking notes and eventually transferring them to a PC in a compatible format.

Comment by Corey Hall on November 29, 2009 @ 5:11 pm

We need an app that allows your screen to be dark when it rings or has a text message.
