Slide to Unlock (Lock 2.0) for the G1
This is a fun G1 application that allows you to do an iPhone-like “slide to unlock” the home screen. There are a large number of skins available, but the default is pretty good to start with. It’s very functional, and the home screen shows the time and battery life indicator as well as the slider (with a highlighting effect on the text) at the bottom.
A pretty useless, but cool and functional little application. I personally find it an improvement in aesthetics over the default Android locked state, but it may not be for everyone.
Directly Download the APK installation file for the Slide to Unlock application to your G1. (“Unknown Sources” needs to be enabled on your G1).

downloaded and installed this app. Nothing happens. I cannot find it in the list of installed programs either. I cannot find it to start it and it does not start by itself.
How do I use/enable it?

Hi all i found the slider locker 2.0 I also found the iphone g1 application for the G1 email me and i will email the app to your inbox they do work just like the iphone dam this is cool ibut i hate the iphone lol
I forgot to include also download the chomp SMS from you G1 Market icon it comes in useful believe me.

Im thinkin about getting the G1…Can u tell me—-can u use the slide to unlock to answer the phone? or will pressing the green answer button override the slide to unlock application?

For the g1 download its easy. For g1 users, go to “direct download” and then it pops up stuff and just click install and when its finished more will pop up and just install. After that just move along with the app when it pops up. Finally, play with it and do whatever you want with it. (If you don’t understand, well its not my problem.)

If I hav this application, will i have to -slide- to answer a phonecall? or does the green button override the application?

The only way to get the app to download and work correctly is to download the app via the default browser on the g1.
I just installed this on my T-Mobile G1, and it seems to work like a charm. Thanks for this great app!
