Movie Finder for the G1 makes the movie-going experience delightfully trouble-free. The first time you launch the app, it’ll ask you for your location/zipcode which can then be changed via settings if you ever need to. Based on your stated location it finds all relevant movies, showtimes, and theaters. Movies can be listed based on their names, release dates, or user ratings. Selecting a movie shows a new screen with a synopsis and links to the trailer (viewable on the G1) and the IMDB page for the movie. Theaters showing the movie can be listed based on showtimes or distance from your location.
The integrated mapping is very useful. This is a great application that covers all your needs when it come to watching a movie at a theater. The ability to view the trailer right from the application means deciding which movie to watch can be pushed as late as possible, you no longer have to decide before you leave. The interface is clean and usable with clear, readable fonts and colors. This is app is free and available on the market now.
