Astro – Backup and file management for Android
Astro is a functional file and backup manager. It allows easy access to files on the SD card as well as elsewhere on memory. Its most useful functionality, however, is its ability to backup installed applications to your desktop. This will easily allow you to recover from a factory reset (if you ever need one) without going through the market again. To backup an app, launch Astro, select the applications you want to backup from the installed application list and click backup. This downloads the installable “apk” file, which you’ll use to reinstall the application when you want to recover from your backup files.
Applications that you have backed up will appear in a separate list. This app can be used to uninstall applications as well. It’s a straightforward application that does a simple but important task well.
